That was "It’s a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. It is my all time favorite Xmas movie. His character was George Bailey and his angel was Clarence, who finally got his wings! Donna Reed was his wife Mary Hatch Bailey.

Well, there were several people in It’s a Wonderful Life who also were stars of TV series. Thomas Mitchell’s show was: O’Henry Playhouse; Ward Bond starred in Wagon Train; and of course there was The Donna Reed Show which ran from 1958 to 1966.
