I just got a simple toy that lights up and makes noise. It will be special if you keep it in a memory box as 'the first Christmas present'

A special children's book; one that you enjoy reading. Read it to him several times a week starting now. When he's older, sitting with you and listening as you read will be one of his favorite things to do. Congratulations on you new baby (our first granddaughter came this past Tuesday) and Merry Christmas.

I agree – pictures are always good! As a first Christmas it’s a sweet thing to have a little reminder! But really all babies want is a box! It’s their best play toy

I would buy him a Christmas book. There are so many beautifully illustrated Christmas books out there (not to mention the good old Grinch). You can make a tradition of reading it to him every year.
