    @frodo08830 “Snipe” is the correct term. It applies to the short lengths of film spliced into a show with general announcements like “Coming Soon” and “Our Feature Presentation,” or advertising clips like you see for drive-in food. It’s possible the term came from “snippets,” but they’ve been called “snipes” as long as I can remember.
